What's New & 2017 Recap

So much is happening with the Polly Ann Trail with more planned for 2018!

 TRAIL CLOSURE!!

SEE THE ROAD COMMISSION PRESS RELEASE 4/11/18

STATUS:  Repair work begins Monday May 21, 2018 and should be completed by June 8, 2018. The trail remains CLOSED.

The Polly Ann Trail south of Drahner and north of Indianwood Roads is CLOSED until further notice. A JUNE re-opening is anticipated, if all goes well.

Due to flooding and the blockage/collapse of an adjacent street west of the trail, the Road Commission has placed pumps to transfer the water across the trail to the east. We are told this will be a 24/7 Road Commission operation until the water level recedes. Preliminary estimates are that the culvert is a 6 foot diameter and that it may have to be replaced. This would take a considerable amount of time and resources (months) to repair.

Visit here or on Facebook for updates. Stay safe!

THE HUNGRY GOATS RETURN!

The goats will be on the trail starting Tuesday. June 19, 2018 from 10:00am and 5:00pm. They will be starting South of Burdick St. and working South. The week of the 25th, they will be working the trail by the entrance to Powell Park and the trail. Oxford Parks and Recreation gave us a big thumbs up to use the area. It is by the new dock in Powell Lake. Thank you, Oxford Parks and Recreation!
